Nagaland is located in the North East India with a total land area of 16,579 sq.km which is one of the smallest state in the country. Due to it’s strategic geographical location, the state has multi-faceted potentials to harness. Nagaland has made tremendous progress since it’s statehood in 1963. The literacy rate stands at 95.7% which is higher than the national average of 80.9%. The GSDP of the state show that the state’s economy has registered a healthy growth of about 8.98% at constant price in the year 2021-22.
With major reforms in fiscal management, personal policies and institutional structure, Nagaland has emerged as a prominent reforming state in India. Communitization connotes giving ownership to the people who are the actual beneficiaries and stakeholders, the power and responsibilities in the management of public institutions and services at the grassroots level.
