In Nagaland, music and performing arts are vibrant expressions of the state’s rich cultural heritage. From traditional folk melodies to contemporary Naga tunes, the music scene reflects diversity and innovation. Similarly, dance, theater, and storytelling showcase Nagaland’s cultural tapestry, often celebrated during festivals like the Hornbill Festival.
To preserve and promote this heritage, the Task Force for Music and Arts (TAFMA) was established by the Government of Nagaland. TAFMA provides resources, training, and opportunities for collaboration to local artists, amplifying their presence both locally and globally.
This cultural renaissance not only enriches Nagaland’s residents but also boosts tourism and socio-economic development. With government support and local initiatives, Nagaland’s music and performing arts thrive, bridging tradition and modernity while celebrating Naga identity.
